THE MCCARTNEY SONGBOOK
IS BACK ON TOUR IN JUNE 2025
IN AN ALL-NEW PRODUCTION
FEATURING SPECIAL GUESTS
IN MEMORY OF PETE JACKSON

THE MCCARTNEY SONGBOOK showcases the musical genius of the legendary Sir Paul McCartney in a powerful live production.
Featuring ‘All The Best’ of McCartney, Wings and The Beatles, this exciting show consists of over 30 monster hits such as ‘Jet’, ‘Band On The Run’, ‘Let It Be’ ‘Live And Let Die’, ‘Silly Love Songs’ and ‘Hey Jude’ all packed into 2 hours of entertainment perfection.
THE MCCARTNEY SONGBOOK was created in 2019 by critically acclaimed performer, Pete Jackson, from West End smash hit musical ‘Let It Be’, ‘The Sessions At Abbey Road’ and ‘That’ll Be The Day’ and starring The McCartney Songbook Band with some specially invited guests. The show is a live recreation of the masterworks of Sir Paul from 70 years of songwriting performed by world class musicians and singers.
This is the ultimate night out for any Beatles, Wings and McCartney fan with high energy rock’n’roll, romantic love songs and world class anthems that will have you rocking from the first note!
The 2025 tour is in memory of creator and star of the show Pete Jackson who passed away suddenly in December lat year. On their facebook page the show posted this statement:
"It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our dear brother, Pete Jackson."
"After a short stay in hospital, Pete passed away in the early hours of Thursday morning with his wife Hollie and family members by his side."
"Everyone here at the McCartney Songbook family is devastated by this personal loss and the loss to the music world and we kindly ask everyone to respect the privacy of Pete’s family and close friends at this time as they navigate this tragic period."
"The McCartney Songbook producers and promoters will keep all friends and fans updated with any decisions regarding the show as soon as they are made."
"Thank you for your support and we wish you all peace and love."
In January it was announced that the planned 2025 tour would go ahead in tribute to Pete's legacy.
Pete has left big shoes to fill and stepping in to lead the show in his stead is professional musician and McCartney aficionado, George King.
George has been playing Paul McCartney in Beatles tribute bands for nearly 10 years performing at large festivals, corporate events and theatres all over the UK and abroad and although naturally right-handed, George taught himself to play left handed during lockdown as he was intent on making sure the Beatles illusion was as close as possible when playing to Beatle fans. This has made him a much sought after bassist, guitarist, piano player and singer with work offers from bands across Europe and Asia and has appeared with Beatle tributes such as UK Beatlemania and The Bootleg Beatles!
George is a huge fan of Paul’s solo work and Wings material and grew up with Beatles and McCartney being played around the house and with favourites such as ‘Here, There and Everywhere’, ‘Back Seat of My Car’ and ‘Put It There’, he brings a wealth of new songs to the show.
When not touring theatres in various well known Beatle tribute shows, George can found playing with a talented John Lennon tribute artist in ‘The Beatles Duo’ around the pubs and bars of the UK and he is also a passionate songwriter with influences from Rock, Indie, Punk and anything from The Smiths to Belle & Sebastian and Radiohead.
The second specially invited guest is Gregg Webb jr. who will perform at selected dates.
Born in Grimsby to a family of successful musicians, Greg started playing the guitar and singing at the age of 8 and by the time he was 13 he was playing in Working Men's clubs with his parents.
Greg is currently a member of the highly successful and incredibly popular tribute show ‘The Illegal Eagles’ that has been bringing the iconic sounds of the Eagles to audiences across the UK and Europe for the last 28 years . You will have seen him performing in theatres, symphonic halls and arenas, delivering world-class musicianship and energy.
Before joining 'The Illegal Eagles', Greg was part of ‘The Piggies’ a theatre show celebrating the music of the 1960s. Over time, this evolved into a Beatles tribute show, where Greg took on the role of Paul McCartney—a role he embraced with passion and authenticity.
Now, Greg is honoured to step into the spotlight once again as a guest performer in The McCartney Songbook, celebrating the legendary music of Paul McCartney. He eagerly anticipates each show, not only as a musician but also as a dedicated fan, sharing an unforgettable night of timeless music with audiences everywhere.
The cast features world class musicians who I described as "masters of their craft" when I reviewed the live soundtrack album. Jarrod Loughlin, Ollie Gray, Mark Street and Al Vosper all return to the tour in 2025 and their wealth of experience and passion for the music shines through whenever they perform.
